Fabric canvas!

On this New Years Eve we have decided to celebrate by staying home, ordering pizza and watching movies all night together.  While the kids are playing with their leap pads (which they love!)  I am squeezing in a craft :) there's always time for crafting!  Last night my beautiful cousin Alicia gave me the greatest idea of putting fabric squares on my wall.  So I grabbed some small canvas' that I have and some scraps of fabric and covered them.  I really like how they came out! perfect for my picture frame wall!

Today I am feeling Crafty!

It does not even feel like New Years Eve to me!  I cannot believe that another year is already over... time seriously flies!  This next year will hold many great things for us and I am so blessed with my beautiful family.  I always try to make resolutions but they never stick so I kinda do not even want to make any.  I just know that I want to be more positive and ambitious.  Next on my list of big events is my Autumns birthday!  I am so excited about the theme and all of the decorations that I am going to make!  Pinterest has become my best friend!  We will be having her party a couple weeks late since my parents will be out of town the whole month of January.  Luckily Autumn does not want her grandparents to miss her bday so she was more than happy to have her party on a later date.  I am so excited to see what this New Year brings to us!

All that work and it's over in one day!

Christmas is finally over, and to be completely honest I am a little relieved!  I know that sounds horrible but I was becoming so stressed out with everything!  I was trying so hard to make everything perfect for everyone and it was so hard but in the end everything turned out great! The kids got a surprise and got to visit with Santa on Christmas Eve and they were so happy!

The kids were happy with all of their gifts and I was soo happy to see their faces light up when they woke up and heard that Santa had stopped by.  I even made them their own apron so that we can all start cooking as a family. They look so cute!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!

After we were done I was so full and so satisfied!  I already want to plan another day to go!

And of of course I cannot forget the beautiful Serenity!  She is such a good baby!

Update?

My!  It seems like we have been nonstop busy with everything!  I need to set more time aside to blog because it really makes me feel good when I post something.  Why? I have no idea.  I just like to write about things that are important to me I guess.  So this weekend we successfully pulled off having a surprise party for my brother's 18th birthday!!  It was so much fun and he had no idea which made it that much better!  We had so much fun!  I just love parties!
Today as soon as Autumn got home from school I got her and Deegan ready to take pictures for our Christmas card.  Every year we try to take them ourselves because they are more special to me rather than getting them done at a portrait studio.  Luckily for me the kids were actually in the mood!  I guess it helped a little with them being wrapped in Christmas lights!  They loved that!  Anyways, after a few shots I got the one I really loved, edited it a bit and ordered the prints!  I can't wait until they come in!  So here is the picture!
I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays!  I know I am loving every second of all of the hustle and bustle!

Thankful!

So yesterday was Thanksgiving and we spent it in Barstow with my husbands family.  It was really nice and I am glad we were able to make it out there this year!  I am thankful for so many things this year, my beautiful kids, my loving husband and the rest of my wonderful family and friends, they all bring so much beauty into my life.  I am so very lucky and blessed to know them all.

Excited!

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is already here!  It has come up so fast and it is kind of overwhelming because that means Christmas is coming up next.  I feel that I have had a good start on getting ready for Christmas (seeing how I started before Halloween!) but it still makes me nervous that it is so close and there is so much stuff that I want to do!  Anyways today is my last night of work and then I am off until next Tuesday!
This is what I made with the kids the other night.  They had a lot of fun getting paint everywhere and I love the way that it turned out!

Wreath!

Last year I made a wreath for the front door and I just loved it so much I had to use it again this year.  I really wanted to make another wreath this year even though I already had one so I made this one for inside.  I love making wreaths!  They are so inexpensive to make and they are so pretty!

Christmas Time!

So the Christmas tree is up and for the most part decorated!  I am really happy with how all of my ornaments turned out.  I ended up looking for a cheaper way for me to make my ornaments and decided to use old ornaments that had been given to me.  The total cost for my ornaments came out to be just under $6!  It only took my a couple hours to finish all of them and I am so happy to cross this off of my "to do" list.  I came across this blog on how to use fabric to cover styrofoam balls and I loved the way they turned out!  So instead of styrofoam I used ornaments and a hot glue gun and they came out perfect!

After, I felt that the tree felt a little empty so I decorated some clear glass bulbs with silver glitter glue to add more sparkle! I LOVE sparkle! and leopard print!

It still feels a little empty I'm thinking about doing something to add a little red but we will see.  Now I am on to my wreath that will be going in my living room.  Busy day again! I love the holidays!

Busy Busy!!!!

It seems like I have been super busy the last couple days.  I have been working and I am finally off for the rest of the week!  I have some plans for these days off!  Tomorrow I plan on working on my  Xmas ornaments!  I have decided to go with the color scheme of black, white and silver.  I'm excited!!

Today!

Today was spent pulling all of our Christmas stuff down from the rafters in the garage!  You may think "Oooh how fun!" NOT!  There were spiders and tons of dust not to mention everything was way up high and I am not tall in any way!  It was a difficult task but I am just so excited for the holidays this year!  After I started opening tubs and pulling stuff out I realized I wanted to get rid of most of it :( I always went with the more traditional Christmas decor which is weird because I am never into anything "traditional".  Basically half of my things headed straight for the yard sale pile.  So now I am onto the new task of making new decorations which is soooo exciting for me!

SUSHI NIGHT!

Last night we went out to sushi to celebrate my parents anniversary!  It was delicious! I always love when we get to have a night out with my family.  I love my family so much, and I love that we are all so close with each other.  It was a great night and I can't wait to do it again!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is my parents anniversary! They have been married for 27 years and been together since forever! They met in third grade and have lived one street over from each other until they got married.  They are such an inspiration to me!  They make marriage look so easy and beautiful.  I am so lucky to have such wonderful role models in my life.  Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad I love you guys so much!

These Guys!

Make me so unbelievably happy!

....

Today has not been one of my favorite days.  It was super windy today and I despise wind!  I have been in a blah mood and "someone" has not been very nice or supportive of me lately.  So today was lame oh well maybe tomorrow??

Also...

I am also thinking of going with a sugar skull themed Christmas tree which means I will have to make all of my ornaments!  As always I love taking on huge projects that I already do not have time for...

XoXo

I am LOVING this upcoming Christmas season!!

So much INSPIRATION I cannot wait to get started!  I am actually thinking about hitting some thrift stores to find things to repurpose for gifts!

Granny Squares!!!

Today has so far consisted of me attempting to crochet many many granny squares for a Christmas gift that I am making :) I am trying to give some handmade gifts this year.  More than last year anyways.  I haven't crocheted in YEARS!!  So I am not as quick as I remember being and seeing how I need over 200 squares and right now I am at a running total of 12...anyways I am scared!

I am beginning to see a pattern here... It is of me taking on projects that are huge and extremely time consuming.  Anyways, I think my granny square break is over so until next time.

I shall leave you with something adorable.  They make me smile nonstop.

Things I Love..

I really need to get a better coffee pot because I would love to drink some coffee right now on this beautiful rainy day!

To New Beginnings!

I have had this blog for over a year now and all I have really posted on here is paper crafts that I have done.  I have found a couple of blogs that I really enjoy reading and thought that I would blog my family's life as well.  So I deleted the old blogs and I am on to the new ones!  I hope to use this as an outlet for me even if nobody reads it :/ I have always enjoyed writing and I think that this would be a good thing for me to do.  I am so excited to start this new journey documenting our lives!
